Outsite Oaxaca City Review - Coliving and Cowork Space
I spent a week at Outsite Oaxaca City Mexico exploring this vibrant city. Below’s a video walkthrough and review of this coliving and coworking space.
In short, it was a pleasant stay, and a great spot for meeting other likeminded remote workers into Oaxacan cuisine and culture.

Pros of of Oaxaca City Outsite
Standardized Rooms
Overall, each room is structured the same with the same overall size and amenities. Some Outsites, especially converted homes, can differ in room types, but because it seems this Outsite was built from the ground up as a coliving space, each room is essentially the same, which is good.
Modern Kitchen, Cowork space, and Facilities
The kitchen is fully functional with plenty of both pantry and refrigeration space for all guests. It’s well stocked with quality cook wear (during my stay in Oct 2023) as well, and has enough space for multiple folks to be preparing meals as a very large kitchen space.
This is a new Outsite, and the design and aethetic is clean, modern, and well thought out. There are 17 total rooms, and it doesn’t feel too busy or packed even when fully booked.
Location
The Outsite is located within walking distance of everything you need. It’s close to the city centre which is full of restaurants, bars, and shops. Local markets are within a 10min walk, and large modern grocery stores about a 25min walk.
Cons of Oaxaca City Outsite
Small Con: Could use a bit more shared common space
The main common area is downstairs in the cowork space and kitchen. There is a small seating area under the stairs, but the chairs are quite awkward to sit in, and it’s next to the cafe so not a quiet area. The 2nd floor is solely for rooms, and thus doesn’t have a real vibe. You have the washer and dryer on that floor, but that’s really it.
It’s a small thing, but it would have been nice if there was one more common area put in on the second floor.
In conclusion
I had a great time at this Outsite. At the end of the day, your stay is influenced by the people you meet. Overall, Oaxaca didn’t attract a crazy party crowd, and more an adventure foodie crowd since it doesn’t have the nightlife and big city vibes of Mexico City. I enjoyed the folks I met, and recommend a stay here!
